Lebron Moved Teams.. so what?

So, NBA star LeBron James is moving teams or something. What a crazy and exciting development, I’m pretty sure no one has ever left a team to get more money, I wonder what will happen to the NBA now!! I’m so very glad that is all I’ve been hearing about every time I see a news article, really. In all honesty, I think it’s crap. I enjoy basketball, don’t get me wrong, it’s a fun sport to watch and follow, but why is the community making such a huge deal over one player? Since when has a player, especially one who plays for that a team that has no real emotional significance to him (except for maybe of course where he made his ride), been worried about sticking to a team out of loyalty?

RealID – The End of Anonymity on WoW Forums

Activision Blizzard, the masterminds behind the incredibly successful MMORPG, World of Warcraft, have recently announced they would be adding a functionality to their battle.net and worldofwarcraft.com forums that would effectively destroy all anonymity from their forums. The RealID system would show the real name of every character on every account that belonged to that individual, meaning no matter what character or game account they were on, anyone would readily have access to their real name.

Locked Bootloader on New Droid X?

Droid X’s will be shipping with locked bootloaders? Whaaaaaaat, in a completely surprising development, phone manufacturer Motorola released that the follow-up to their popular flagship phone the “Droid”, the “Droid X”, would be shipping with a locked bootloader. The phone’s software, based on the Google Android operating system, is open source and extensively customizable, which makes it extremely “hackable” from an enthusiast standpoint.

Gambling to Win

Ever dreamed of winning the lottery? I’m sure you have, but you probably wouldn’t ever imagine winning it four times, which is what happened for a resident of the small town Bishop in Texas. Joan Ginther, a former math professor at University of Texas, San Antonio, has won the lottery four times in the past 17 years. Ginther is regarded by the few who know her as a chronic lottery enthusiast, playing faithfully for as long as anyone can remember. Friends and family remark that she has “bought her fair share of lottery tickets, and not just for herself”.
